This Apprenticeship is a 30-36 month programme where you will be provided on the job training and a highly competitive study support package for the CII qualification. You will be fully supported by Willis Towers Watson and our official government approved Training Provider throughout the duration of the programme.

Global Lines of Business:
We are a risk advisory and solutions business delivering innovative, integrated solutions tailored to client needs and underpinned by cutting edge data and analytics, technology, and the best risk thinkers in the business. Sitting within Risk & Broking (R&B) is our Global Lines of Business (GLoB) a core part of R&B’s global strategy, aligning our expertise to deliver our products and services in a globally consistent way, ensuring our clients get the best of us wherever they are in the world. These consist of:
Global Aviation and Space:
Our experts work with airlines, airports, aerospace companies, general aviation clients and the space industry, providing innovative solutions for a wide range of risks. The team comprise of five specialised business units: Airlines, Aircraft Leasing Companies, Aerospace Practice, Aerospace Risk Management Services (ARMS), General Aviation and Inspace.
Global Construction:
With an established track record of market leadership in product innovation and risk solutions, has made the team the world’s leading insurance broker in the construction industry, proudly advising many of the world’s largest design-build and contractor groups. The team assists developers, Owners and Contractors translate their knowledge of risks into real solutions, minimising the actual cost whilst meeting the volatile and varied needs of our clients in complex multi-stakeholder environments.
Global Financial Solutions:
Their clients are international banks, leasing companies, commodity traders, export credit agencies and multinational corporates. The team comprises over 400 colleagues from a variety of backgrounds, including underwriting, corporate and investment banking, legal and accounting to collectively deliver bespoke solutions and good execution to clients. They create value for corporates, banks, export credit agencies and traders by providing balance sheet protection; improved returns on individual transactions and relief of country and counterparty aggregation limits.
Global FINEX:
FINEX stands for Financial, Executive and Professional risks and we are a team with over 800 colleagues worldwide. Our colleagues are specialists in their field, providing tailored risk management solutions to clients ranging from global conglomerates and government institutions, to small and medium sized enterprises and regional practices. Some of the products and services we offer include: Cyber, Directors & Officers, Employment Practices Liability and Professional Indemnity insurance. We also have teams who focus on providing services to Financial Institutions and clients undertaking a Merger or Acquisition (“M&A”).
Global Direct & Facultative:
The Direct & Facultative team help our colleagues, clients and cedants to find the best possible outcomes by accessing the global (Re)insurance market in order to transfer risk across a number of products. For Direct this includes large & complex Property & Casualty, Product Recall, Environmental and Reputational Risk. Facultative handles all product lines as well as structured risk. With over 325 team members globally the team provides a single point of access to the International Marketplace to ensure the right risk to the right market by the right broker be it retail (local), international (wholesale) or facultative every time.
Global Marine:
Our team is designed to best serve our clients locally, with a Global placement strategy to access competitive terms and conditions. This integrated approach is backed by decades of knowledge allowing us to offer global expertise through any point of contact at a local level, no matter where your marine risk may be. The team compromise of four business units: Shipping and Maritime Industries, Special Risks, Specie, and Global Asset Protection i.e. superyachts, bloodstock.
Global Natural Resources:
The natural resources industries are renowned for their complex and unique risk management challenges. The team comprises over 400 industry specialists from around the world who have a deep understanding of the risks faced by companies operating in the Upstream and Downstream Energy, Power & Utilities, Renewable Energy and Metals & Mining sectors.
Global Crisis Management including:
Special Contingency Risks (SCR):
SCR focus on People Risks (Kidnap & Ransom (Special Risks), Accident & Health and Emergency Evacuation). They support clients in managing the safety and security of their employees, uniquely combining insurance advice/expertise with risk advisory and crisis support services. The SCR business is recruiting into two different teams: The Special Risks team is a leading kidnap-for-ransom and piracy practice that works with a wide range of clients, from international and non-governmental organisations to privately held companies and family offices, operating in high-risk locations and industries, and complex environments.
Alert:24
Alert:24 are WTW Crisis Management’s in-house security risk advisory and crisis support client service. The team provide 24/7 triage and assistance to WTW Crisis Management insured clients through the Alert:24 Crisis Support function with operation centres and teams in Reading, Houston and Sydney. Our global Risk Advisory team provide security risk intelligence, consulting and training to WTW clients. The role will centre around supporting our growing operations team with client billing and consultant invoicing as well as supporting the Risk Advisory team with sales and delivery coordination of our security risk advisory services.
Accident & Health/ Contingency
Ensuring the safety, security and wellbeing of employees is the corporate responsibility of their employers. Our Accident & Health team support a wide range of clients, providing high quality, cost effective and robust (re)insurance solutions globally. We are proud to be one of the largest and most experienced broking teams in our field, specialising in niche risks for; Broadcasters, Reporters, Journalists, Charities, IGO/NGO’s, Engineers, Contractors, Oil Workers (On and Offshore), Miners, Pilots, Yacht Crew, Professional Sports Clubs, Teams and Associations.
In addition our Contingency team specialise in helping recover Costs and protect Revenue should an event be Cancelled, Abandoned or Postponed. Our specialist team work with Event Organiser across Sport, Music, Entertainment, to Conferences and Exhibitions.
Strategic Sales & Industry:
The team is comprised of full-time business developers and industry sector specialists. Team members drive and support new and cross sell opportunities across all CRB and the wider company, with the industry sector specialists also heavily involved in supporting client retention and proposition development. In this role, the candidate will support the development team in a diverse range of sales initiatives that they lead and support across the business, assist the industry leaders implement their strategic sales, marketing and knowledge management plans and get involved in specific campaigns and prospect targeting.
Retail:
Working with clients ranging from large multinational corporations to new UK based start ups and everything in between, GB Retail offers the opportunity to join a business unit which could see you working with a UK based brewery one day and major global defence company the next. The team combine their analytical and market expertise with deep client insight to deliver the best solutions and outcomes they possibly can for clients. They operate across many interesting industry sectors including Leisure & Hospitality, Real Estate, Healthcare Providers, Transportation and Logistics, Public Sector clients and many more. The difference between working in the Retail team and many others is the breadth of the role in which you will deal with all classes of insurance, work with other specialist WTW business units to build a portfolio of placements and be the client facing ‘shop window’ for all the additional services WTW has to offer.
