We have a fantastic opportunity to join our International Construction team as an Account Director.
You’ll work within WTW’s dedicated placing team, administering and arranging construction related insurances.
You will need to develop a full understanding of the client’s business, requirements and the services WTW provides, having the ability to work with a minimum level of supervision and being willing to undertake additional associated responsibilities within the WTW team as required.
We are particularly interested in candidates with international experience including the Middle East and Africa.
The Role
Day to day client service, addressing requests and queries from the client, insurers and other third parties, including:
o Advice on cover
o Contract reviews
o Placement of cover under the client’s global programmes
o Negotiation and arrangement of local policies as required
o Issuance of evidence(s) of insurance as required
o Ongoing servicing following placement
Provision of technical, industry and subject matter expertise where required
Understanding the client’s business and risk management needs and delivering them through the provision of ongoing service
Understanding the client’s insurance programmes and utilising them in accordance with the client’s insurance and risk management philosophy
Maintenance of information on the client database
Application of technical and client knowledge to preparation of documentation required to renew/place business within London and overseas markets (including MRCs, endorsements, etc.)
Preparation of market presentations/underwriting submissions as required
Interpretation and review of quotations, to ensure fit for purpose and meet client demands/needs
Negotiation of terms and cover alterations with insurers and presentation to the client
Completion of reports as required – applying both technical and bespoke client knowledge
Completion of summaries of insurance for all interested parties (client/network) – applying both technical and client knowledge
Attendance at key client and market meetings
Working with clients, insurers and overseas network to address and resolve technical and other issues
Liaison with other divisions/offices of WTW to access specialist expertise and provide local servicing where needed
The Requirements
Technical knowledge of insurance
Construction insurance experience
International experience including the Middle East and Africa.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with the client and insurers and maintain strong relationships
Able to deal professionally with internal and external contacts, able to represent the Business Unit and the wider WTW Group with a high level of credibility
Excellent client focus with proven experience of delivery of high levels of direct client service
Ability to analyse situations and provide recommendations to identify optimum solutions for clients
Good understanding of the processes that support the operating model and strategy for the Business Unit and WTW Great Britain overall
Experience of working with and adhering to processes and systems that support client service delivery
Intermediate level of IT systems (as a minimum Microsoft Office)
Intermediate knowledge of data analysis
Good presentation skills
Working knowledge of the construction industry
Preferably educated to a degree level
Preferably with professional qualifications of ACII or similar
