    Description

    WTW actuarial internship is a perfect opportunity for you to understand what you could expect from an actuarial consulting career. Working will be on a full-time basis or part-time basis, depending on your availability.

    The Business

    Being the leading firm in our industry, we provide actuarial services to the majority of multinationals, large local-based companies, and public sector in Hong Kong and Macau for their retirement schemes, including actuarial valuations in accordance with applicable accounting standards and local funding requirements, population projection, cost analysis, and asset-liability modelling. In addition, we help our clients manage their retirement program using innovative approaches to develop and implement effective strategies that enable them to strengthen competitiveness or to achieve desired harmonisation in the events of mergers and acquisition. Our consultants use sophisticated tools, in-depth research and creative thinking to provide advice to our clients on scheme design and strategy, funding, investment, provider review, governance, change management and employee communications.


    The Role

    You will have real work exposure to client assignments, working with a team of experienced consulting staff, such as:
     

    • Retirement plan actuarial valuations and liability modelling
    • Retirement plan design and review;
    • Valuations of share-based compensation programs;
    • Ad-hoc consulting projects.

    Qualifications

    The Requirements
     

    • Pursuing an undergraduate Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science 
    • Able to work independently as well as contribute effectively as a team player;
    • Strong analytical skills and mathematical aptitude;
    • Attention to details;
    • Well-organized, able to handle a variety of assignments and meet tight deadlines;
    • Strong computer software / programming skills;
    • Strong Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) and English communications skills.
