    The Role 

    The Associate Broker will work with the Transactional Insurance Solutions Team within the Willis Mergers & Acquisitions Group. This role is focused on the placement of transactional risk products for clients, including attending deal calls with clients to secure transaction information, preparing submissions/coverage specifications, assisting with managing deal process and preparing advice to clients regarding carrier selection and deal structure considerations, and preparing internal financial and statistical reports including analysis of M&A market trends and team data. In addition, this role involves maintaining strong relationships with clients and key carriers.

    This role offers a hybrid working opportunity, with minimum 3 days in-office requirement. 

    Responsibilities:

    • Synthesize M&A deal information from clients to prepare market submissions 
    • Draft submissions including preparing joinders to non-disclosure agreements, outlining coverage specifications, and synthesizing transaction details
    • Analyze feedback from carriers and prepare coverage comparison report to share with clients including comprehensive analysis of market terms and recommendations for the best program
    • Manage tracking and timing of deliverables between the client and carriers (including acquisition agreement, agreement schedules, due diligence reports and non-reliance letters)
    • Assist Senior Brokers in managing deal process and developing materials and statistics for client meetings as requested 
    • Develop and share with clients, producers and colleagues, knowledge about the M&A market and product solutions as they relate to classes of business, as requested by Senior Broker
    • Analyze and track team data around deal activity and team placements for regular internal reporting
    • Participate in networking events, conferences, and client meetings to build a strong professional network

    Qualifications

    The Requirements

    • College degree with major in finance, accounting, entrepreneurship or risk management 
    • Industry experience, preferably with M&A or complex insurance experience, or with representations & warranties, contingent and/or tax liability, preferred 
    • Must obtain insurance brokers license within 60 days of employment
    • Must demonstrate core competency of WTW’s Values & Vision
    • Special emphasis on analytical capabilities, must possess strong attention to detail and being comfortable working with numbers and synthesizing and organizing data
    • Strong leadership skills; Self-starter/requires minimal supervision
    • Solid communication skills – written and oral
    • Ability to interface with clients and deal with difficult client situations on short timelines
    • Seeks guidance when needed, and receptive to direction and feedback
    • Good listening skills
