With moderate to minimal supervision, has overall responsibility for management of a
portfolio of captive insurance companies. Responsible for producing accurate and
pertinent information on a timely basis to enable the captive Boards and client
representatives to make informed decisions
The Role:
INSURANCE
• Manage the policy administration and documentation or in conjunction with the Practice Underwriting resources, as appropriate.
• Manage claims administration including reporting and recording or in conjunction with the Practice Underwriting resources, as appropriate.
• Liaison with insurance and reinsurance brokers as required
• Assist with client underwriting decisions or in conjunction with Practice Underwriting resources, as appropriate
• Obtaining regulatory approval for changes to the business plan
• Obtain Board approval for underwriting decisions.
FINANCE/REGULATORY
• Accounting for premium
• Agree reserving methodology
• Ensure the production of management accounts, statutory accounts and information, budgets, cash flow statements and supplementary information as required.
• Assist with the adoption of appropriate accounting practices and ensure adherence thereto.
• Manage cash requirements of the companies
• Liaise with and monitor investment managers in respect of invested funds
• Maintain contact with all client contacts, board directors and officers and advise them of developments
• Keep domicile directors apprised of client developments
• Co-ordinate client and board meetings
• Ensure timely production of board packs
• Ensure timely production of minutes and review prior to distribution
• Action matters arising from client meetings
• Entertain clients, as appropriate
• Ensure relevant company secretarial functions are performed in a timely manner
• Ensure compliance with Corporate Governance
• Maintain ongoing relationship with client
• Establish good relationship with key client, regulatory and service provider figures
• Forward relevant Willis Towers Watson circulars and publications
• Check publications for relevant client issues
• Check client website from time to time
• Understand clients business and industry.
MANAGEMENT
• As directed, implement policies adopted by the Practice.
• Support team in providing broad insight, perspective & thought leadership as required
• Understands importance of WEM and the WTW code of Conduct and works to be seen as a role model in the office
The Requirements:
Qualifications:
•4 year degree in Accounting, Finance or related area or CPA qualification
•License not required
Skills:Advanced Computer Skills
Knowledge/Experience:
•5-10 years captive insurance experience or related industries•Knowledge of captive insurance industry – (1) accounting for captives (2) insurance products for captive operators and (3) complex problem resolution
•Knowledge of and experience with more complex insurance programs, such as: reinsurance, Risk Retention Groups, global or complex programs, etc.
•Experience dealing with a client who has a sophisticated Risk Manager as a buyer
•Excellent Client Service and interpersonal skills; comfortable dealing directly with clients
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Advanced presentation skills•Compliance knowledge
•Can solve moderately complex issues and will raise more complex issues to higher level

Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of local pay transparency legislation. Please note that base salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).
Compensation
This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
