In this role, you will be an Associate Director of the Canadian Affinity actuarial team, overseeing the management of key actuarial and analytical client deliverables, along with an expanding team of actuaries and analysts, delivering best-in-class analyses and results to clients. Our work primarily relates to lines of business where property & casualty pricing and reserving are necessary foundational elements of our analysis; however, experience in life and health insurance offers incremental added value to certain support activities of our practice. You will also be integrated into a broader team of Affinity consulting professionals where foundational elements of client strategy, customer engagement and operations are complemented by core analytics delivered through the actuarial component of our practice.
We are a unique practice in the Canadian marketplace that focuses on the development of new insurance solutions, and optimization of existing insurance solutions for Affinity program sponsors. These programs are targeted at large customer or membership bases of clients whose core business is not always insurance (e.g. banks and other financial institutions, retailers, associations, hospitality providers and others). Solutions are positioned to be complementary to the core services or product offerings of these Affinity organizations and the associated strategies that they employ to achieve key objectives of customer/member engagement, optimized customer experience, and revenue and business growth. Through our work, we are constantly challenging the market status quo.
You will be on the front lines of insurance strategy development, product development / enhancement, new business development, and exposed to a variety of lines of insurance business, clients, and unique solutions supporting an ever-evolving marketplace.
We are seeking an experienced candidate that can bring best-in-class actuarial skills to drive and manage the oversight of deliverables for multiple clients in conjunction with provision of guidance and peer review to team members. This includes oversight on client projects, hands-on involvement in individual consulting mandates (which may include supporting other senior team members and client leads) and working with various subject matter experts on the team (e.g. product and strategy consultants and research analysts). The ideal candidate will be familiar with and have experience in personal insurance products including travel insurance, embedded credit card insurance, personal home & auto insurance, and life and health insurance solutions.
