    Description

    The Role

    As an Associate, Health & Benefits, you will primarily be required to support Section Team Lead in placement activities. This role sits in Middle Office (MO) team. You will be required to support in implementing and monitoring operational initiatives focus on delivery of placement work, and partner closely with Front Office (FO), insurers and the Global Delivery Centre (GDC) based in Manila (also referred to as the Back Office (BO)) to ensure the smooth delivery of placement activities in Singapore.

    Overview of the role:

    • Project management and participation in new WTW clients’ renewal or remarketing exercise which includes but not limited to the following, whilst keeping FO Consultants abreast in overall progress: 
      • develop remarketing strategy with FO
      • where required, work with FO or advisory lead to design efficient plan design that meets clients’ needs
      • review Group Fact Finding Form, quotation slip and remarketing information prepared by BO based on clients’ needs and requests and invite vendors to participate
      • negotiate and secure competitive pricing with vendors
      • review benefits comparison, remarketing report, placement slips, placement of cover to client email prepared by BO, based on standard templates and presented in a format most suitable for Clients to understand
      • Send placement instruction and placement slip to Vendors
      • Send reviewed placement of cover to client email to FO
    • Provide inputs and advice around improving Clients’ policy structures and wordings, where necessary
    • Work together with Section Team Lead to cultivate a culture of sharing insights with carriers and colleagues to help drive better and more informed decision making.
    • Cultivate the culture of learning and sharing about developments and insights of the insurance market, national health schemes and offerings to be better equipped in performing remarketing and placement activities 
    • Work together with Section Team Lead to know the national and local H&B vendor marketplace and leverage that knowledge on behalf of Consultants and clients 
    • Develop good working relationships with Carriers, FO and BO teams 
    • Work with FO to ensure clients’ benefits program are in line and adhering to local laws 
    • Internal system updates in relation to remarketing/ placement matters, where required
    • Assist Section Team Leader on adhoc projects and initiatives as assigned

    • Ensure observation of proper standards of market conduct
    • Ensure data quality and accuracy when delivery clients’ work
    • Adhere to WTW Excellence Model framework

    Qualifications

    The Requirements

    • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a Health & Benefits broking or insurer’s role 
    • Holds BCP, ComGI, PGI, HI, M5, M9 certifications
    • Excellent ability to communicate effectively with a strong focus on customer service 
    • Good oral and written communication skills 
    • Technical proficiency in Singapore’s employee insurance benefits
    • Broad understanding of compliance issues related to local legislation 
    • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word) and the ability to leverage on these applications to develop reports and presentation as required
    • Well organized and detail-oriented to numbers
