This is an exciting new role in WTW Corporate Risk and Broking, responsible for taking our already successful industry propositions to new highs.
This role will be offered on a Hybrid basis, and we will consider candidates from all locations across GB.
You’ll harness our industry insights to a “Smarter way to Risk” that enables WTW clients to grasp the risks and opportunities that are fundamental to what we do at WTW. Working within our GB Retail business, you will take ownership and direction of this vital component.
The Role
• Line Management of 5 virtual industry verticals
• Matrix responsibility for strategy GB Retail industry verticals
• Establishing a “practice process” to develop and maintain industry propositions
• Linking across GB Corporate Risk & Broking (CRB) to align with other Lines of Business industry strategies.
• Building strong links with Industry practitioners and stakeholders across CRB both at GB and Global level
• Industry resourcing and investment (organic)
• Proposition build across all GB Retail industries (matrix)
• New sector and sub sector development and investment
• Thought leadership and Industry vertical research
• Thinking strategically to bring innovation and forward thinking
• Identify new industry opportunities, define and develop a structured approach/framework to the growth of the business including breakout/sub sector opportunities
• Creation and maintenance of Networks & Centres of Influence
• Adoption and use of industry verticals throughout client proposition.
• Talent pipeline and team development
• Ownership of sales and marketing plans/activities for each IV
• Being prepared to personally lead or develop specific industry proposition
The Requirements
• People management
• Strong commercial acumen, building compelling business cases
• Change management and strong execution of business plans aligned to clear KPI’s
• Demonstrate a track record of leading an industry vertical and/or proposition building
• Ability to influence diverse stakeholders and work through others
• Demonstrated client relationship
• Ability to coordinate teams across multiple businesses / segments
• Understanding of the value of marketing and link to sales
• Ability to promote action through influencing rather than direct management of peer group and senior employees in business
• Strong facilitation skills – able to use inclusive/collaborative styles to gain agreement and manage conflict
• Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills
• Strong skills in problem solving with a clear focus on understanding and exceeding client expectations
• Good level of internal credibility
