We’re seeking a creative and detail-oriented Content Marketing Specialist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for content writing and marketing, a willingness to learn about a new industry, and a desire to work with a team. A keen eye for detail will be required to follow content guidelines for multiple brands and products. This role is a great opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in a fast-paced creative environment while working with some of the nation’s top insurance providers. This role has a hybrid schedule with in-office days on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Summary of Responsibilities for Content Marketing Specialist:
● Work with the Content Director, Content Marketing Specialists, creative team, and internal marketing teams to develop content to support the overall business strategy.
● Write marketing assets including website content, emails, search ads, YouTube and TV scripts, social ads, guides, webinars, and more.
● Write ad copy with clear, quantifiable calls-to-action for clients and prospects.
● Stay up to date with competitor marketing tactics, best practices, and current trends, and disseminate findings to the relevant teams.
● Understand the consumer’s needs and develop effective communications that turn visitors into customers.
● Ideate and pitch new content ideas to the Content Director, Content Marketing Specialists, and internal marketing teams across channels and verticals.
● Communicate individual priorities, issues, and performance to the Director and Content Team regularly.
● Partner with Content Director and Content Marketing Specialists to address all requests on scope and on time.
● Utilize data to inform content direction, putting performance as the paramount priority.
● Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in English, Journalism, Business, Marketing, or related fields.
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and positive attitude.
● 3-5+ years of content development or marketing experience in a professional setting.
● Ability to read and write in Spanish is a plus, but not required.
● Must work well with others, as well as independently.
● Ability to adapt writing tone and style based on a particular brand or audience.
● Basic understanding of content management systems (CMS) and project management tools such as Umbraco, WordPress, JIRA, Outlook, and others.
● Ability to multitask, hit tight due dates, and be resourceful in a fast-paced environment.
● Direct-to-consumer and performance marketing experience is preferred.
