    Description

    As a facultative reinsurance broker, where you'll leverage your expertise to analyze risk and negotiate advantageous reinsurance terms, ensuring optimal coverage for cedants and WTW clients. Collaborate with industry professionals, utilizing innovative strategies to enhance our portfolio and drive success in the dynamic reinsurance market.

    Responsibilities:

    • Evaluate and analyze WTW risk transfer solutions to determine appropriate facultative reinsurance coverage solutions;
    • Responsible for facultative reinsurance portfolio, including business development (WTW and non-WTW original insureds);
    • Cultivate and maintain relationships with cedants, facultative reinsurance markets and other key external stakeholders;
    • Mobilize, train and create awareness within the WTW organization to add Facultative reinsurance solutions as additional strategy for a total market approach;
    • Negotiate terms and conditions for facultative reinsurance placements to ensure optimal coverage and pricing;
    • Prepare and present comprehensive submissions to reinsurers, based on the needs and requirements of the cedants or original insured;
    • Responsible for coordinating the administration of facultative reinsurance deals, using the available tools. Including supporting cedants with reinsurance requirements like Premium Payment Warranties;
    • Coordinate governance and support claims team in processes on handling facultative reinsurance claims;
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, regulatory changes affecting facultative reinsurance.

    Territory:

    • Cedants and WTW colleagues: Belgium and The Netherlands;
    • Facultative Reinsurance markets: mostly but not limited to Continental Europe.

    Qualifications

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or a related field;
    • Proven experience in facultative reinsurance industry;
    • Strong understanding of insurance and reinsurance principles, conditions, risk assessments and pricing;
    • Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships;
    • Analytical mindset with the ability to asses complex risk scenarios;
    • Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
