    Description

    The Global Business Finance Director is a member of the Finance team at Willis Towers Watson and is a key contributor supporting the Head of Global Business Finance.  Primary activities include engaging with segment and geography Finance business leads on support and resolution of high priority monthly and quarterly financial issues, acting as a key representative for Global Business Finance in engagement with the respective Finance areas to address relevant Global Business Finance issues and activities, driving continuous improvement for Global Business Finance with specific focus on collaboration with the WTW Global Financial Analytics (GFA) team and working closely with the Head of Global Business Finance on strategic projects which require additional support to drive improved efficiency and effectiveness.  The ideal candidate must possess the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with a wide array of projects which will require a strong skill set of critical-thinking, agility, and quantitative mindset.

    The Role

    • Drive strong coordination and resolution of monthly and quarterly financial issues that arise with a segment or geography following a prioritization framework of highest rate of return
    • For quarterly forecast and annual planning activities, work closely with the Head of Global Business Finance to coordinate with segment and geography finance leaders to identify and prioritize risk items which require resolution (e.g., business execution areas, finance process improvement items, etc.)
    • Support Global Business Finance continuous improvement activities that are led by the Head of Global Business Finance.  These include:
      • Operating Model – Business Finance
      • GFA Resource and Reporting Development with Global Business Finance
      • Forecasting and Budgeting Process Optimization for Segments and Geographies
      • Allocations Review (Segment and Geography Specific)
    • Support the Head of Global Business Finance on strategic projects in providing analytic and problem-solving support while also collaborating with key stakeholders on strategic projects to ensure appropriate pace and progress is achieved 
    • Need to be able to perform highly complex tasks and ad hoc analysis to assist management in making well informed business decisions while being able to work at a detailed level

    Qualifications

    The Requirements: 

    • Minimum 10+ years of progressive accounting and financial analysis experience required.
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
    • Advanced analytical skill set ability to analyze problems, develop solutions, direct efforts and monitor progress
    • Must be able to work independently and lead team projects, as required.
    • Must display high interpersonal skills
    • Superior written and oral communication skills

    Compensation and Benefits

    Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).

     

    Compensation

    The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $150,000-$250,000 USD per year. This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
