    Description

    The team is part of the wider Global Investment Operations group, whose core focus is on supporting and servicing the needs of our Investments business and clients. The focus of the role is to perform functions for predominantly pension fund clients while working closely with operations colleagues, custodians, and investment managers. This role requires a team-player that are numbers and detail orientated.

     

    The Role

    • Follow set procedures and maintain controls (risk management)
    • Support the oversight of our service providers by working with the team to resolve issues and helps improve the service. Making sure issues are recorded accurately and escalating where appropriate to both internal and external stakeholders through resolution
    • Assist or potentially lead ad hoc projects the team must deliver
    • Build strong relationships internally based on mutual respect, integrity and teamwork and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams
    • Demonstrate natural ease and effectiveness when dealing with trustees/managers/colleagues at all levels
    • Ensuring deliverables are managed to deadlines and in accordance with SLA’s. Be able to communicate clearly to the management teams about progress, issues and outcomes
    • Maintain accuracy of investments data to meet or exceed expectations
    • Increase efficiency within the team by identifying ways to improve processes

    Qualifications

    The Requirements

    • Minimum 1-2 years’ professional experience, preferably in investment management/custodian back-office operations.
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field  
    • Problem solving skills; and a desire to work in a risk-managed and controls-based environment
    • Ability to meet deadlines, manage workload effectively, and demonstrate effective time management skills, such as multi-tasking and prioritizing workflow
    • Proficient with MS Office Applications, especially Microsoft Excel
    • Effective oral and written communication skills to ensure that information and knowledge is shared appropriately 
    • Bilingual English required
    • Office based in Mexico City, in a hybrid model
