    WTW is looking for a Property & Casualty Senior Actuarial Consultant with loss reserving skills and experience. You will be developing and delivering reserve studies for our insurance company clients. You will play a key role in our marketing efforts and the growth of this practice area as you progress to the next level. As a project manager, you will bring order and process to the client teams with whom you work, and you will serve as a resource to analysts as you help them build their technical and client-facing expertise. You will be expected to meet billable hour goals as described by your manager.

    The Role

    • Deliver superior, consistent project management for assigned clients
    • Draft statements of work, project plans and budgets involving multiple workflow streams and client teams
    • Serve as primary, daily contact to clients on delivery of services
    • Serve on account management teams for specific assigned clients
    • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with client contacts through effective communication and efficient, quality execution of projects
    • Manage client expectations and raise appropriate issues to other Senior Consultants, Consultants and Client Relationship Managers
    • Interface with colleagues from other practices and regions on assignments that reflect the client’s broader business issues
    • Contribute to intellectual property development and research efforts, including development of new tools and approaches
    • Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams
    • Demonstrate natural ease and effectiveness when dealing with clients/colleagues at all levels

    Qualifications

    The Requirements

    Must Haves

     

    • At least 7 years of experience in P&C loss reserving
    • Strong analytical skills including ability to draw conclusions and identify trends from data in a logical, systematic way
    • Proven experience successfully managing multiple projects and producing quality deliverables on time and within budget
    • Strong interpersonal and team skills
    • Flexibility and proven ability to diagnose and resolve issues
    • The ability to see the "big picture," leveraging the resources of related practices to address clients' business challenges
    • Ability to work both independently and on client teams and enjoy a busy environment
    • Well organized and detail oriented
    • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
    • Availability to travel on an as needed basis
    • Undergraduate degree

     

    Nice to Haves

     

    • Experience working in an actuarial consulting environment
    • Solid experience using ResQ
    • Membership in the Casualty Actuarial Society and/or Canadian Institute of Actuaries

    Compensation

    The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is 125,000 – 175,000 CAD per year.

    This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
