The role is home-based with travel to WTW offices and clients and prospects throughout the United Kingdom (and occasionally overseas) where required.
The Role
You will be an independent risk advisor to clients and prospects and be able to consult and provide advice on a wide range of their risk management needs.
You’ll bring a fresh outlook and support the identification and development of the client’s risk profile to achieve better alignment with risk mitigation activity, risk transfer and risk tolerance strategies.
In addition, you will develop and support new business opportunities and revenue generation in line with the GB Retail sales strategy by utilising the full extent of WTW’s Risk Management value proposition with the key focus of driving New New (NN) and New From Existing (NFE) business and other growth orientated activities to drive superior results.
Responsibilities
• Working with clients and prospects to identify and evaluate their risk exposure, risk maturity, claims profile and governance arrangements in order to bring an external perspective and constructive challenge.
• Identification of sales opportunities across risk and claims management propositions.
• Managing key client accounts from a risk and claims perspective.
• Building internal and external networks via regular risk meetings with the clients, account teams and industry specialties, attending, for example, client’s strategic risk groups, client renewal strategy meetings, Account Director forums, account teams, Willis Research Network, Climate Resilience Hub, etc.
• Using your expert knowledge in the facilitation of panel and promotional events and presenting / providing expert advice on key areas of risk and claims management.
• Using your exceptional interpersonal skills to connect with clients and prospects on their current and future risk and claims requirements and deliver exceptional added value.
• Using your expert knowledge and experience to support bid tenders and leverage new business opportunities.
• Maintain a high external and internal profile and work seamlessly with other colleagues within the Risk, Claims and Account management teams.
• Keep up to date on changing risk management and claims methodologies, developing industry trends, technological innovations, and areas of emerging risk.
• Review client claims experience and identify weaknesses requiring risk management interventions.
Requirements
• Ideally you will have experience of working with a large global broker or insurer.
• Demonstrable success in leveraging sales opportunities.
• Expertise and experience in a range of Risk Management disciplines (incl. Business Interruption, Business Continuity Management, Enterprise Risk Management, Risk Engineering, Health, Safety & Environmental, Claims Defensibility, Crisis Simulation, Supply Chain Risk, Fleet Risk,
• Sound understanding of risk management principles (identification, assessment, management, monitoring) and Enterprise Risk Management
• Solutions focussed but sensitive to profitability (cost v revenue).
• Ability to think strategically as well as operationally, leveraging opportunities to ‘sell in’ solutions when appropriate, confidently present in RFPs, and manage expectations of clients, CRDs, bid teams, etc.
• Exceptional client relationship skills: ability to develop strong relationships quickly and maximize resources effectively to achieve goals.
• Proven success working in a fast-paced, high pressure environment and self-sufficient.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities and flexibility to work in a performance-driven environment managing multiple deliverables.
