    Description

    As a Senior Associate for Health and Benefits Brokerage Services, you will consult on a wide variety of complex projects involving the design, pricing, funding, implementation, and management of a full array of Health and Group Benefits programs including medical, dental, life insurance brokerage, Benefits Consulting, including but not limited to Benefits Review, Benefits Optimization, Flexible benefits, Health Care Audits, and Health and Wellness. You will serve as the Project Manager and day-to-day communication liaison with our clients, create client deliverables, contribute to client management and new business activities, and participate in the creation of new intellectual capital.

    The role is part of the Health and Benefits for Brokerage team in the Philippines.

    • Assist in soliciting and closing New Business for consulting and brokerage business within established parameters
    • Responsible for project management and delivery of consulting projects
    • Responsible for managing customer relationships for brokerage accounts that will be assigned to you to ensure 100% client renewal
    • Liaise with HMO/insurer on Requests for Proposals, renewal bids, and special employee needs, especially VIPs
    • Analyze available funding options (e.g. HMO, life insurance, TPA, etc), and formulate data-based recommendations
    • Manage H&B vendor renewals and negotiations
    • Project management of complex clients, guaranteeing on-time delivery, within budget and with high quality, whether brokerage or benefits consulting clients
    • Know the national and local H&B vendor marketplaces and leverage that knowledge on clients’ behalf
    • Collect, understand, validate, and analyze utilization data, and provide recommendations, based on analytics
    • Design plans, and provide benefit recommendations to suit client needs based on client demographics, utilization data, market data, and clients’ benefit objectives
    • Define the scope of the methodology and proposal preparation for benefit consulting projects
    • Demonstrate proficient writing, and oral presentation skills in client reports, recommendations, and presentations
    • Conduct lectures for leaders/employees when there is/are: implementation of new benefit; change of benefit (design or vendor); specific campaigns; a new group of hires
    • Provide periodic reports informing the performance of the medical plan, including loss ratio, frequency of use, member profile, etc.
    • Provide annual benchmarking comparison
    • Learn, develop expertise, and eventually lead in selling, setting up, and implementing WTW’s benefits admin and communication tools
    • Legislative updates: communicate to the client’s Human Resources team any changes in local laws related to group life insurance, medical and dental benefits; and potential direct and/or indirect impacts on the company’s current benefits programs
    • Provide analytics on the Risk profile of the population: analysis of the epidemiological profile of the population (if such data is available) to provide support in decisions concerning health management and potential costs
    • Train colleagues in data analytics, data validation
    • Train and supervise colleagues who may be asked to report to you as People Manager
    • Understand and properly use WTW’s tools
    • Consistently exhibit the values of WTW

    Qualifications

    The Requirements:

    • Excellent ability to communicate ideas effectively and participate in engaging discussions with management, clients, and the team
    • Strong focus on customer service
    • Good oral and written communication skills, good presentation skills
    • Deep knowledge of national and local H&B vendor marketplaces
    • Technical proficiency in multiple H&B practice disciplines
    • Broad understanding of compliance issues related to local legislation
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, knowledge of MS Access is a plus);
    • Proficiency in the English language
    • Good people management skills
