The Role

TAX INSURANCE BROKER (M&A, Transactional Risks, FINEX Global)

The M&A team at WTW is a truly global team formed by sector professionals with extensive international experience in all areas of M&A; we have an in-depth, detailed understanding of the most complex transactions, aligning ourselves with the clients´ interests. This enables us to provide the best service and advice, tailoring the transactional risks insurance policy to each deal.

We are looking for a qualified Tax Expert to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for providing specialized advice in tax insurance, developing coverage strategies for tax risks, and managing relationships with clients and insurance companies.

Main responsibilities:

• Analyze and assess clients' tax risks to identify the most appropriate insurance solutions.
• Structure and negotiate tax insurance policies with leading insurance companies.
• Provide advice on tax insurance products for M&A transactions, tax disputes, and other situations of tax uncertainty.
• Collaborate with W&I team to integrate tax coverage into clients' W&I insurance programs.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and insurance partners.
• Monitor regulatory and market developments to offer innovative and up-to-date solutions.                                    

The Requirements 

Qualifications:

• Degree in Economics, Finance, Law, or related fields.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Strong proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work in a team and manage complex projects with attention to detail.

 Experience:

• +4 years of experience in a law firm (tax) or in a tax advisory firm.
• Previous experience in tax insurance, M&A insurance, specialized insurance, or tax consulting is beneficial.

• Good levels of business and financial acumen with an understanding of company strategy
• Presentation and communication skills – ability to present clearly, translating concepts and information in a manner that is appropriate and accessible to all levels, both internally and externally
• People skills – upward and direct management, persuasion, negotiation, diplomacy, able to work within mixed and virtual teams, able to forge links and build networks with different WTW teams
