    We are looking for Transport Risk Consultant to who will connect with clients and prospects on their current and future transport risk requirements and deliver exceptional added value. You will apply your expert knowledge and experience to support RFPs and leverage new business opportunities. Provide objective advice and direction on a wide range of risk issues.

    The role is homebased with travel to WTW offices and clients and prospects throughout the United Kingdom (and occasionally overseas) where required. 

    The Role

    • Using your expert knowledge in the facilitation of panel and promotional events by providing expert advice on key areas of transport risk management.
    • Ensuring assignments are undertaken in line with client expectations.
    • Building internal and external networks via regular risk meetings with the clients, account teams and industry specialties, attending, for example, client’s strategic risk groups, PRISM meetings, AD forums, account team meetings, Willis Research Network, Climate Resilience Hub, etc.
    • Maintain a high external and internal profile and work seamlessly with other colleagues within the Risk, Claims, Sales and Account management teams. 
    • Keep up to date on changing risk management methodologies, including emerging risk issues, developing industry trends, and technological innovations. 
    • Contribute to the Risk Management team’s delivery and GB Retail revenue objectives and goals.Face to face role working with clients and prospects to help identify, evaluate and manage transport risk exposures, risk maturity, claims profile and governance arrangements by bringing an external perspective and constructive challenge.
    • Delivery of Transport Risk Management advisory services on behalf of the Transport Risk Consulting Practice, primarily in the areas of Road and Rail Transportation, including fleet risk reviews, Property Damage Business Interruption (PDBI) exposure reviews, risk exposure reviews (considering technology and emerging risks), business continuity management, and provide ad-hoc support as required to meet the requirements of our clients.
    • Providing direct support in new business propositions, supporting account defences and delivery of Risk Management projects in line with client expectations. 
    • Bringing a fresh outlook and support the identification and development of the client’s risk profile to achieve better alignment with risk mitigation activity, risk transfer and risk tolerance strategies.
    • Developing and supporting new business and revenue generation opportunities in line with the GB Retail sales strategy by driving New New (NN) and New From Existing (NFE) opportunities. 

    Qualifications

    The Requirements

    • Strong experience in a suitable industry and/or transport risk related role. Ideally experience in a consultancy role with a professional services company or from working with a large global broker or insurer would be advantageous.
    • Demonstrable success in leveraging sales opportunities, managing stakeholders and influencing at senior levels.
    • Expertise and experience in at least one of the following Risk Management disciplines; Fleet Risk Management, Business Interruption, Business Continuity Management, Enterprise Risk Management, Risk Engineering, Health, Safety & Environmental, or Supply Chain Risk Management. 
    • A sound understanding of risk management practices (identification, assessment, management, monitoring). 
    • Solutions focussed but sensitive to profitability (cost v revenue).
    • Ability to think strategically as well as operationally, leveraging opportunities to ‘sell in’ solutions when appropriate, confidently present in RFPs, and manage expectations of clients, CRDs, bid teams, etc.
    • Exceptional client relationship skills: ability to develop strong relationships quickly and maximise resources effectively to achieve goals.
    • Proven success working in a fast-paced, high pressure environment demonstrating self-sufficiency in identifying priorities
    • Strong logical and organisational abilities and flexibility to work in a performance-driven environment managing multiple deliverables.
    • Experience of working within large, multi-dimensional organisations.
    • Proven record of accomplishment of delivering excellent levels of client service.
    • Good understanding of company strategy, operating environment and business objectives.
    • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills and an ability to produce high quality reports.
