    Description

    The Role
     
    Overview of the role:

    As a P&C / Health Consultant in ICT, you will be the workstream lead/project manager on general insurance (GI) and/or Health projects, and will be responsible for managing/delivering on a variety of projects including pricing & predictive analytics, IFRS 17, reserve valuation, RBC, merger & acquisitions etc. for our GI / Health clients mainly across Southeast Asia. 

    You will be responsible for reviewing the analysis and explaining the results and will work closely with the other analysts/consultants and project lead to ensure timely delivery of projects. Many of the projects will involve using WTW’s market leading actuarial software and techniques to produce customized solutions for our clients. In addition to ensuring the successful and timely delivery of the project/workstream, you will also be responsible for client communication, project management, and business development activities.

    Performance Objectives: 

    Clients 

    • Serve as the workstream lead/project manager, ensuring the progress of the team against established project scope, budget, timeline, deliverables and quality standards
    • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact to clients on delivery of services, while managing client expectations
    • Deliver on projects to meet or exceed client expectations 
    • Work as part of a multidisciplinary consulting team to analyze issues and develop value-added solutions for the clients
    • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with client contacts through effective communication and efficient, quality execution of projects
    • Participate in business development activities and work with the team to develop propositions
    • Able to see the "big picture" and think beyond the task at hand, and understand how our recommendations support and fit into our client’s overall strategic objectives

    Financial

    • Meet billable hour targets 
    • Manage project budget efficiently
    • Contribute to sales and marketing efforts by assisting on proposals, demos and presentations

    • Build strong relationships internally and collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams 
    • Demonstrate natural ease and effectiveness when dealing with clients/colleagues at all levels
    • Serve as mentor to junior team members

    Support on research and Intellectual Property Development (IPD) work 

    Qualifications

    The Requirements

    • Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or any other related quantitative fields
    • 3 - 8 years of general insurance (GI) and Health experience, preferably with some consulting or regional experience. Candidates with less than 6 years of relevant experience may be considered for the Senior Analyst position
    • Good progress with actuarial exams from recognised International Actuarial Bodies
    • Strong technical understanding and working experience on IFRS 17, reserving, pricing, claims/underwriting analytics, data science, M&A across GI and/or Health businesses. Candidates with both GI and Health experience will be assessed favourably
    • Self-driven achiever, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills  
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
    • Good time management skills, and able to manage multiple concurrent projects efficiently
    • Familiarity with WTW’s software (e.g. Emblem, Radar, ResQ and/or ResQ Financial Reporter) is a plus
    • Consulting or regional experience is a plus
    • Familiar with insurance regulations and market in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and/or Indonesia
