    Description

    Responsibilities:

    • Contribute as a part of a team to support deliverables in market best practices, plan design, financial analysis, valuation, financial disclosure, implementation and ongoing services to meet or exceed internal and external client expectations
    • Work independently and managing your own workload and ensuring that deadlines and budgets are met as well as that colleagues and the client are kept well informed
    • Interact with clients and expand internal and external relationships, ensuring appropriate and effective communication among team members and the clients
    • Assist with sales and marketing activities including research and proposals
    • Contribute to the development of new tools and approaches, and help improve work processes for higher quality and efficiency
    • Follow firm and line of business processes, protocols and quality standards in the development and deployment of solutions

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s or Master ’s degree in Actuarial Science / Math / Statistics / Finance or any other related university training
    • 1-2 years' working or long-term internship experience, ideally in a consulting environment
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to details and have good number sense
    • Strong interpersonal skills, working well in a team environment with individual accountability
    • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks under tight timelines, able to deliver quality client work on time and within budgets
    • Able to think beyond the task at hand and understand how work fits into the broader landscape
    • Self-starter; interest in continually challenging oneself, willingness to step outside of one’s comfort zone and able to work with ambiguity
    • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in PPT and Excel
    • Well-developed oral and written communication skills in Chinese and English
    • Successful completion of one or more actuarial exams or having ASA/FSA/IFoA credentials (or local country equivalent) a major advantage
