    Description

    Are you curious, adaptable, and a great communicator? Do you understand how client facing technology is a key broking services channel? We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our hard working, fast paced product delivery team building and supporting a global platform. You’ll need to understand commercial insurance, ideally broking and risk management, ensuring that these are considered in the features being delivered, while still ensuring the platform is common as possible and distinct where necessary. This role is Ipswich based with hybrid working style with 2 days in office.

    The Role:

    • Lead workshops to explore requirements – tailoring your approach based on the features and audience
    • Lead forums to gather feedback on the platform from a global audience 
    • Work with the platform delivery team to identify ‘what’ is to be built, why, and how we can prove it’s right; again using methods best suited to the particular delivery
    • Clearly articulate features, backlog items and acceptance criteria, mock ups and user assistance as required
    • Analyse and map data flows, ensuring high-quality data is available for reporting and MI
    • Support integration efforts between internal and external systems, ensuring smooth data exchanges
    • Collaborate within an Agile environment, participating in planning, backlog refinement, and continuous improvement
    • Educate, familarise and support stakeholders with change and product knowlege through communication, documentation and show & tells
    • Maximize our technology capabilities for the benefit of our clients users

    Qualifications

    The Requirements:

    • Experience with Azure DevOps or JIRA 
    • Commercial insurance knowledge: You’ll have a good understanding of how complex corporate clients are serviced by brokers 
    • Adaptable and curious – We’re not looking for someone to just write down requirements – you might be writing test cases one day, configuring a template another and demonstrating a new feature to senior global stakeholders the next. 
    • Technically minded – we’re integrating between internal and external platforms, and are data driven – you’ll need to be able to understand the methods and concepts being used.
    • Stakeholder Management – We’re delivering globally, you’ll be working with a multitude of people across regions and roles, sometimes with conflicting opinions.
    • Time management: We’re running many work streams in parallel, and you’ll need to be able to manage your time and workload effectively to support this. 
    • Articulate Communicator -You’ll be able to bridge technical gaps between the end user and the product team and be able to tailor your written and verbal communication to best suit the task at hand – whether this is writing detailed acceptance criteria or mocking up a screen to talk through high level ideas with business users.
    • Change Management – we’re driving significant change, so you’ll be challenging the status quo and be able to break down and simplify complex problems so we can build a solution.
    • Hands-on experience with Power BI (including DAX, Power Query, and data modelling) or similar business intelligence and reporting tools
    • Technically minded – You’ll be comfortable working with data-driven platforms and integrations
