The Role
To establish, develop and deliver a consistent framework across GB Construction that enables the division to execute the GB Construction strategy.
The successful candidates role will execute the model across GB Construction delivering the following:
• Creation of the sales framework for GB Construction creating ‘best in class’ outputs to support all stakeholders both internally and externally
• Rigour - Stronger, more robust and consistent sales planning as a key element of the wider business planning process
• Increased activity management and embedded disciplines (inc. new business pipeline management, etc.) making best use of available technology.
• Increased connectivity across the internal network by building a ‘community’ driving business into the placement teams
• Ensure effective cross team sales collaboration for the delivery of new projects
• Consistency and enhanced messaging, management of campaigns, account planning and delivery of services and tools to colleagues
You will also:
• Support and execute the GB Construction goals to deliver profitable new business and retention levels.
• Ensure the continued promotion of internal tools that differentiate our proposition such as the use of our Geopolitical Risk initiative as well as our risk and analytics capabilities.
• Share developments in sales, experiences and best practice - across GB Construction - and to be an advocate for the continued development of our value proposition including the use of our client facing tools. In addition, this role can drive greater connectivity and collaboration in relation to key prospect identification and account planning.
• Lead major offensive/defensive RfPs as required (to offer challenge/increase the likelihood of success) and support the development of a collaborative, ‘winning’ culture.
• Successful collaboration with our internal stakeholders will be essential to support the execution of our business goals.
The Requirements
• Preferably educated to degree level and/or with extensive relevant industry experience
• Proven success working in a fast-paced, high pressure environment and self-sufficient
• Proven success at driving cultural change and process improvement to improve adoption of core sales support tools across the business
• Strong organizational abilities and flexibility to work in a performance-driven environment managing multiple deliverables
• Strong practical knowledge of strategic account development and appropriate tools to achieve this aim
• Exceptional client relationship skills: the ability to build and develop an extensive network of major account contacts at prospects
• Able to coach and lead senior executives to greater standards of performance, enhancing the support and motivation of the team
• Comprehensive knowledge of WTW products and services and how these compare with the products available from key competitors
• Comprehensive and demonstrable understanding of the new business sales process and the ability to operate at every level within the sales process from conducting a positive initial prospect meeting to crafting and delivering a compelling and successful proposal
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with
prospects
• Able to deal professionally with internal and external contacts, able to represent GB Construction and the wider WTW group with a high level of credibility
• Ability to analyse data and situations and provide recommendations to identify optimum
solutions
• Work with the GB marketing function and stakeholders to develop campaigns and events that support and promote our propositions
• Good understanding of the processes that support the operating model and strategy for the
GB Construction and WTW overall
