    Description

    Associate Broker is an operational role that supports a team of brokers by assisting with organization, daily operations, communication with clients and client service, marketing support, renewal solicitations, proposal creation, WEM compliance, pipeline and forecast maintenance.  Non-client facing.  License required.

    The Role

    • Assist with day-to-day servicing of broker’s accounts, including renewals; develops business relationships with retail producers and markets; performs other duties as assigned
    • Gather blank new/renewal applications and send to the production team or client
    • Create web-based submissions as needed
    • FINMAR/CMS data entry process; work collectively with Mumbai
    • Populate/utilize Risk Intelligence Central (RIC)
    • Send the submission to carriers; utilize the Panel as needed
      • Carry out surplus lines, market security, sanctions, and third party payment procedures 
    • Receive quotes and update renewal document(s) as needed
    • Create the base WEM presentation for the broker
    • Complete the Final Review for WEM (quote proposals, confirmation/evidence of coverage)
    • Gather the binders and check them for accuracy; secure corrections as needed
    • Add/renew policy record in EPIC; upload required documentation throughout placement in RMS
    • Secure binder contingencies as directed by the brokers; send to the carriers once received
    • Draft MOIs as needed, send to carriers for issuance, track receipt
    • Work collectively with Mumbai on policy issuance
    • Invoice/follow up and accounting inquiries
    • Assist broker with FINEX Analytical tools 
    • Set client/underwriter meetings for renewing/prospective business
    • Educate the team on updates/changes to the various WTW systems such a CMS and RMS
    • Develop relationships with the carrier’s underwriting teams
    • Participates in continuing education to maintain licensure
    • Review various team activities and develop any appropriate data management tools
    • Develop relationships with internal production and client management teams as well as the carrier’s underwriting teams

     

    Qualifications

    The Requirements

    • 0-2 years industry experience
    • Insurance broker’s P&C license required or willingness to obtain
    • Demonstrates/ develop knowledge of core insurance principles & provide explanation to clients
    • Ability to conduct research
    • Understanding of required placement workflows
    • Must demonstrate core competency of Willis Values & Vision
    • Self-starter/requires minimal supervision
    • Will seek guidance when needed
    • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral communications 
    • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment 
    • Able to manage and deal with difficult messaging 
    • Good listener

    Compensation and Benefits

    Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that base salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).

    Compensation

    The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $100,000-$125,000 USD per year.

    This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
