    RETIREMENT ACTUARIAL INTERN

    The RETIREMENT ACTUARIAL INTERN will support the Actuarial Retirement team in Italy.

    The role is suitable for candidates with small or no previous experience.

    Role Overview

     As a pension actuary intern, the candidate will work closely with experienced actuaries to gain practical insights into the field of pension and retirement accounting valuations. The responsibilities will include data analysis, support in the valuation process, and assisting in the development and efficient delivery of valuation work.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Data Analysis and Modeling:
      • Assist in analyzing pension plan data, including participant demographics and benefit calculations.
      • Use WTW actuarial software to perform calculations related to pension liabilities and projections.
    2. Documentation and Reporting:
      • Prepare reports summarizing actuarial findings and recommendations.
      • Assist in drafting project-related documents and filing.
    3. Professional Development:
      • Learn about pension accounting regulations and best practices.
      • Attend training sessions and on the job training to enhance actuarial skills.

    Qualifications

    The Requirements

     

    • Pursuing a degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Familiarity with actuarial concepts and tools.
    • Good written and spoken English.
    • Good skills in Excel and at least one programming language.
    • Some knowledge of pension accounting under international standards IAS 19 and US GAAP

    Based in Milan.
