    Description

    Are you curious, adaptable, and a great communicator? Do you understand how client facing technology is a key broking services channel? Do you thrive on engaging and challenging stakeholders, ensuring that business objectives align with technology solutions? We are looking for a strong and experienced Business Analyst to join our hard working, fast paced product delivery team building and supporting a global platform. You’ll need to understand commercial insurance, ideally broking and risk management, ensuring that these are considered in the features being delivered, while still ensuring the platform is common as possible and distinct where necessary. This role is London based with hybrid working style.

    The Role:

    • Lead workshops to explore and define business requirements, tailoring your approach based on feature complexity and audience.
    • Lead forums to gather feedback on the platform from a global audience 
    • Work with the platform delivery team to identify ‘what’ is to be built, why, and how we can prove it’s right; again, using methods best suited to the delivery
    • Clearly articulate features, backlog items and acceptance criteria, create mockups and user assistance as required
    • Support integration efforts between internal and external systems, ensuring smooth data exchanges
    • Define and manage complex requirement sets, ensuring that large-scale projects and integrations deliver tangible business value
    • Be highly self-motivated, taking ownership of analysis activities, driving progress independently, and making proactive recommendations
    • Collaborate within an Agile environment, participating in planning, backlog refinement, and continuous improvement
    • Educate, familiarise and support stakeholders with change and product knowledge through communication, documentation and show & tells
    • Maximise our technology capabilities for the benefit of our clients’ users

    Qualifications

    The Requirements:

    • Experience with Azure DevOps or JIRA 
    • Commercial insurance knowledge: You’ll have a good understanding of how complex corporate clients are serviced by brokers.
    • Adaptable and curious – We’re not looking for someone to just write down requirements – you might be writing test cases one day, configuring a template another and demonstrating a new feature to senior global stakeholders the next. 
    • Technically minded – we’re integrating between internal and external platforms, and are data driven – you’ll need to be able to understand the methods and concepts being used.
    • Stakeholder Management – We’re delivering globally, you’ll be working with a multitude of people across regions and roles, sometimes with conflicting opinions.
    • Time management: Strong time management and the ability to juggle multiple large workstreams simultaneously.
    • Articulate Communicator -You’ll be able to bridge technical gaps between the end user and the product team and be able to tailor your written and verbal communication to best suit the task at hand – whether this is writing detailed acceptance criteria or mocking up a screen to talk through high level ideas with business users.
    • Change Management – we’re driving significant change, so you’ll be challenging the status quo and be able to break down and simplify complex problems so we can build a solution.
    • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to drive work forward independently and manage competing priorities.
    • Technically minded – You’ll be comfortable working with data-driven platforms and integrations.
    • Experience in system migrations - ensuring smooth transitions from legacy platforms to modern solutions.
