    Description

    We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled professional to join our Data & Innovation team as a Technical Program Manager.

    How the Position Works

    The Technical Program Manager will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment across teams, and optimizing workflows to enhance product delivery. This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent project management skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. The Technical Program Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency, manage dependencies, and ensure successful execution of initiatives.

    This position is ideal for a problem solver who thrives in fast-paced environments, is passionate about improving processes, and enjoys collaborating with technical and business teams.

    Key Responsibilities include:

    Project & Initiative Management

    • Develop and maintain project and initiative plans, tracking progress and schedules.
    • Generate Domain Capacity Reports (story points & efficiency) to identify leverage points, gaps, and actions to drive outcomes.
    • Communicate project inputs and deliverables to impacted teams.
    • Roll out Jira best practices across teams.
    • Track domain priorities across products and ensure alignment.
    • Coordinate cross-domain efforts, ensuring deliverables are met to close project requests.
    • Identify leverage points and gaps within the domain and take action to resolve them end-to-end.

    Agile & Scrum Leadership

    • Run backlog refinement sessions to ensure clarity and prioritization.
    • Drive dates, scope, and mutual commitments during SCRUM events.
    • Lead sprint planning, execution, and retrospectives.
    • Facilitate daily stand-ups and sprint demos.
    • Ensure teams follow Agile best practices to improve efficiency and delivery.

    Product & Technical Oversight

    • Maintain the product vision, roadmap, user needs, and backlog.
    • Participate in defining and prioritizing stories, acceptance criteria, and technical solutions.
    • Ensure developers are efficient, capable, and motivated.
    • Participate in architecting, implementing, and validating product increments to align with project requirements.
    • Manage release processes and ensure product readiness.

    Stakeholder & Initiative Leadership

    • Act as a sponsor for key initiatives and drive ultimate delivery.
    • Set priorities within initiatives and across the organization.
    • Conduct project kick-offs and define roles (PM, PO, Architect, etc.).
    • Communicate outcomes of kickoff meetings and organize solutioning sessions.
    • Ensure the right product teams are leveraged, mapping dependencies effectively.
    • Track progress, provide regular check-ins, and identify risks proactively.

    Process & Risk Management

    • Maintain Jira process accuracy across initiatives, epics, and stories.
    • Communicate scope or solution changes as necessary.
    • Ensure prioritization of key product items, adjusting road maps accordingly.
    • Manage Requests for Information (RFIs) and ensure stakeholders are informed.
    • Present implementation plans and updates to executives and leadership teams.

    Qualifications

    What you need to be successful:

    • 5+ years of experience in program management or technical project management, preferably in an Agile environment.
    • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including SCRUM.
    • Experience using Jira and other Agile tools to track work, manage backlogs, and optimize workflows.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing technical and business priorities.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
    • Experience in driving process improvements, risk management, and cross-functional coordination.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify gaps and drive solutions.
    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
