    Description

    We expect the Health Director to be or become a senior seller and market figurehead for Health Insurance, bringing propositions to market and setting an example for sales performance. 

    In your role you could be helping our clients in a broad variety of ways:
     

    • Designing and selling new propositions to support health insurers, leveraging WTW’s market leading Technology and deep expertise in Products, Pricing, Claims and Underwriting.
    • Assist insurers in developing new products or adjusting existing ones based on market trends and changing customer behaviour.
    • Designing and delivering transformation projects to provide insurers with world leading pricing, underwriting, and portfolio management capability.
    • Using claims analytics to identify changes and patterns to help design and implement appropriate cost containment strategies and help manage providers
    • Benchmarking product and pricing designs across the market and different geographies.
    • Helping clients use analytics and data science techniques to build effective models, tools and processes to support pricing, underwriting and claims management.
    • Designing and building sophisticated MI and portfolio management capabilities.
    • Leveraging your market knowledge in developing cutting edge product management solutions in collaboration with various teams from across WTW.

     

    The Role
     

    Build and develop a market profile as a representative and advocate of WTW consulting services and technology solutions. Take a leading role in selling WTW solutions to clients in the health insurance space. 

    • Build and take new propositions to market, leveraging existing WTW assets, to support health insurers and solve their problems in the product, pricing, claims and underwriting space.
    • Be a leader on Health insurance within the wider consulting team, supporting colleagues and developing the team by increasing awareness of issues relevant to this space.
    • Manage large projects, overseeing the project delivery by more junior associates, with responsibility for the overall success. 
    • Work collaboratively across a range of projects and internal management and innovation responsibilities, managing priorities and resources appropriately
    • International travel opportunities to support our clients around the world and provide training to staff in other offices to spread health expertise
    • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with client contacts through effective communication and efficient, high quality execution of client work
    • Support identifying and building continuous relationships with clients within the health insurance industry
    • Willingly and energetically become involved across a variety of work to ensure that a broad skill set (technical, management and client) is maintained and developed
    • Interface with colleagues from other specialisms, practices and regions on assignments that reflect a client’s broader business challenges and needs
    • Contribute to the development of the company’s intellectual capital, particularly relating to health insurance, including the plans for taking this to market
    • Develop and present proposals to potential clients, demonstrating the commercial value of our offerings
    • Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams
    • Manage and mentor more junior associates

    Qualifications

    • Demonstrable experience of working in at least one of product, pricing, claims, underwriting or other related areas in a health insurance company, with a deep expertise of the PMI or IPMI markets.
    • Ability to understand client needs and turn these into new propositions and solutions that will add value to our clients. 
    • A commercial mindset and “finisher” attitude, focussed on tangible outcomes and growing the business.
    • An advocate for the development of analytical approaches and the adoption of new techniques, including data science, machine learning and AI with a particular focus on combining these with subject matter expertise.
    • Willingness to travel and spend time outside of the UK with clients as we grow our proposition globally.
    • Strong interpersonal and team skills.
    • Excellent project management skills.
    • The ability to see the "big picture”, engaging and leveraging the resources of adjacent specialisms to address clients’ business challenges
