An exciting opportunity to join an established industry-driven research network team to support WTW’s efforts to be the best risk advisors for clients and to shape the “WTW view of risk”, through the application of risk management thinking, and an ongoing analysis of future trends.
This is fixed term parental leave cover, reporting to the Head of Emerging risks, to support our growing client-facing advisory work.
Created in 2006, the WTW Research Network (WRN) is an award-winning collaboration which supports and influences science to improve the understanding and quantification of risk, with the aim of improving the resilience of our clients and society as a whole.
Our growing, multi-national WRN team is made up of enthusiastic, dynamic and team-oriented individuals with natural hazards, economics, spatial analytics, statistical, project management and marketing backgrounds, with teams in London, New York and Denmark. Working closely with colleagues across WTW, we create innovative long-term research partnerships with universities, research centres and private companies across the world to focus on risks and the application of the latest scientific findings that are of interest to our clients.
Our broad research programme covers a comprehensive range of risks including various natural hazards relating to weather extremes, climate variability and trends, seismic and volcanic perils, technology change, people, geopolitical and emerging risks.
The WRN is now part of the new WTW Innovation & Acceleration team, a cross-segment practice whose purpose it is to propel ideas into revenue and market impact to help our business grow. This move emphasises the key role that research and modelling have for innovation and competitive advantage, and the very applied nature of our work.
