We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Work and Rewards (W&R) team as Head of Business Operations.
Reporting to the Global Head of Change, Programs and Business Operations for W&R, you will execute on the vision and strategy for Operations and W&R’s target operating model. You will manage and execute business operations activities for W&R, overseeing BAU (Business as Usual) and transformation priorities to drive operational efficiencies and continuous improvement, measure impact and support profitable growth objectives.
As a member of the W&R Change, Programs and Business Operations Leadership Team, you will work closely with the W&R Global Head of Change and Programs and the Global Deliver Centers Liaison for W&R, as well as geography, business and functional stakeholders.
The Role
• Work with geography, business and functional (Finance, HR, IT, Legal, Excellence, Compliance, Data Privacy, Risk) stakeholders to:
o Drive activities that maintain and strengthen the business control environment (e.g. Excellence, risk and compliance, financial control processes – AR/WIP, records management)
o Drive BAU continuous improvement activities including standardization, automation, AI and new ways of working to create sustainable improvements in operating efficiencies and cost effectiveness in support of the business growth and margin objectives
o Ensure appropriate delivery from the Global Delivery Centers in terms of productivity, operational efficiency and value-add services
o Work with the Head of W&R Technology to lead the implementation and organization readiness of global technology tools according to the local priorities. Facilitate requirements gathering as needed
o Work with the Change & Programs Lead to help embed change projects in ongoing BAU operational delivery and to measure impact of initiatives
• Lead a team of 4 global and regional Business Operations colleagues in partnership with the W&R Geography Leaders to drive effective BAU delivery of services, geographic specific activities and ensure all current and future regulatory requirements are met
• Participate in financial planning for and evaluation of business performance, analyze impact and ROI of change and operations activities.
The Requirements
• Detailed knowledge of business operations (e.g., Excellence, risk management, data privacy, financial controls) ideally gained through hands-on experience
• Proven record in team management. Track record of leading and motivating a high-performance team
• Experience in managing multiple projects including as part of virtual teams, and producing quality deliverables on time and within budget
• Team-player. Able to work with people at all levels and flex leadership style to the situation, with a focus on motivating and developing individuals to drive excellence
• Gravitas and ability to influence and collaborate with senior management
• Commercial mind-set, experience of driving business growth through innovation and change
• Comfortable with technology. Must be able to understand functionality of core systems
• Demonstrated experience of successful implementation of a support services proposition, including appropriate systems, processes, succession planning, BCP and KPIs.
